Lotus X Films is an independent film production company run by Xavier Rippon as a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what information we collect on lotusxfilms.co.uk and what we do with it.

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
• Merch orders: your name, email address, delivery address and the contents of your order, so your items can be printed and posted to you.
• Donations: your name and email address, so we can confirm and manage your donation.
• Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

• To reply to your messages and questions.
• To take payment, fulfil and deliver merch orders.
• To process one-off and monthly donations.
• To keep reliable records for accounting and tax purposes.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

• Stripe processes card payments and donations. Stripe acts as the data controller for the payment details you enter at checkout. You can read their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Printful prints and ships merch. When you place an order, we pass Printful the name, delivery address and designs needed to make and post your items. Their privacy policy is at printful.com/privacy-policy.
• Service providers who host our website, database and email, under contracts that keep your data safe.

We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC or to prevent crime.

We only use the cookies needed to run the site and take payments. Full details, including how to control them, are in our Cookie Policy. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

• Contact form messages: up to 2 years after our last exchange.
• Order records: up to 6 years, as required for tax and accounting.
• Donation records: up to 6 years, as required for tax and accounting.
• Monthly donation details: kept until you cancel, then as above.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
• Object to or restrict how we use your information.
